Emotional Well-Being During the COVID-19.
Hello! Welcome to my blog!
I had a couple of weeks without writing, I wasn’t feeling optimal, but I'm back! and I'm going to write about a different topic than I normally write, today I'll write about the tools that have helped me emotionally and energetically during these times of change. How incorporating new techniques that I did not know anything about, have brought new perspectives and answers to my life.
I feel a deep responsibility to share this information since this is the best way to convey my gratitude, by expanding it. To try these practices it is not necessary to buy any subscriptions or books right now, all you need is a heart willing to start and everything will unfold naturally.
2020 has been a year of surprises, changes and adaptation, humans are always looking for that, but in an introspective way. This year almost all of us had to stop what we were doing and take a mandatory break, many others continued with their routine in a "normal" way. For me, who had just made the decision to become a freelancer, all plans changed and I have to returned to the starting point, and although this year has undoubtedly been one of growth, it has been very uncomfortable, because growing is like that.
To Be Magnetic by Lacy Phillips
Lacy Phillips TBM, I found out about earlier, but during lockdown I took the time to dig deeper. I started listening to the podcast, this took me in a time when I was still very new in the city, I had few or zero friends, I was starting from scratch, and despite the fact that many times I felt very lonely, I was ok because I knew I was in a process and clearance is part of it. Listening to this podcast was undoubtedly a motivation to recognize that there are people with similar interests, who go through situations like everyone else, and above all who believe in something much deeper, during this time Lacy and her guests were my closest friends, although they didn't know lol.
I have always been interested in how the human mind works and I am constantly wondering whether we are fully using our potential.
TBM works with psychology, science and energy skills, generating a work of "Neuroplasticity" Editing old beliefs imprinted in our subconscious, which bring us the same results, avoiding manifesting our deepest desires, due to lack of merit or false information that we receive from ages 0 - 14 years old.
It is a super personal, liberating job that brings you to be present in every aspect, situation and decisions you make. It is an extremely extensive job, but it deserves to do it, from my perspective, in addition to being aware of your potential, you also begin to understand and develop empathy for people and situations that are in their process, such as your parents, siblings, friends, neighbors....
I personally pay a subscription where I have access to all the courses and I try to do it once a day, this is something that I absolutely recommend if you want to assume this personal responsibility, but otherwise listening to the podcast and reading the testimonials can help you a lot in your personal process.
Energetic Activities
I am a Catholic by birth, and although my vision is different from my parents, we always find a common ground. My mother lives in Venezuela, and she visits us once a year, because of the pandemic she stayed longer than planned and we have been doing activities together, one of her friends sent her to the "Archangels" which is an activity about to receive the angels for 7 days, offering food, water, light ... I was motivated by the idea of doing something different, and although I had never done it before, and had some doubts, my mother's motivation pushed me.
They were 7 special days, it was like really having a visitor at home, doing something with intention, energy, and without expectation is much better than doing nothing at all, we wrote our favors, we put apples, a candle and each day an element of the corresponding angel color, on the 7th day we said goodbye to the angels and my mother and I agreed that the energy in the house felt more pleasant.
With this I conclude that you do not have to do a Catholic or spiritual ritual to generate something in yourself, I think that just by serving, without expectation, it generates that feeling of well-being that only you can give to yourself and the manifest out there.
Meditation - with Deepak Chopra
Although it is not my nature to wake up early, I try to get up everyday around 6 to 7 am depending on my day, to meditate. It is not easy for me, it really takes a toll , but every morning I ask myself: How good do I want to feel? Is it in me to feel better? And that pushes me out of bed, because discipline has shown me that this is something that I can control myself.
I am not an expert in meditation at all, in fact I have tried it for many years, many times failing in the attempt, inconstant, without result, but this is the process.
This time more recently I have tried Depak Chopra's guided meditations, this is one of my favorite:
I started from 10 minutes to 45 minutes sometimes, over time I have taken my own rhythm and I do them alone, without audio, especially when I want to be in contact with myself, and this practice is undoubtedly the best of my day, no It hasn’t turned me into a saint, nor am I close to that, but it has given me a safe space to return to, that I can carry with me everywhere.
Write a Blog
Writing this blog was an exercise in authenticity and clarity, it was a bit confusing at first, because I didn't know exactly what to write about or when I had an idea, it blocked me because I felt that I did not have a level of expertise, however I started writing from my experience that is what I handle best, sharing my best acerts and hoping that they can be useful for someone else.
To close this post I am going to share two interesting articles that motivated me and left a smile!
Quarantine Baking
It tells the story of how a couple of artists in Mexico, inadvertently and willingly generated a source of income during the pandemic, without experience and out of pure literal love of art. I am very inspired, not only by the money, but by the genuine way in which they started, uploading photos of their creations to Instagram for the simple fact of sharing, once again it is proven that the "love of art" pays.

"Letting Go of The Uncontrollables" from Rich Roll
This article that Rich Roll wrote for Esquire magazine, is full of power and introspection, shows a video "Power of ten" of which he shares an anecdote, with which I felt very identified. In addition to the admiration I feel for Rich Roll as an athlete and his transparency when talking about his human experiences, I feel that in his speech he knows how to meet at that point where all humans agree and that we all seek.
Here I gathered some segments that struck me the most from the article:
-Meaningful conversation matters
-Resist the temptation to dismiss or convince
-The facility to choose rather than impulsively react is a superpower freely available to all
-Limiting attention to the few things you can control ultimately buys peace of mind
-Let’s remind ourselves that love, compassion, and kindness are not antiquated sentiments but all-powerful
